Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will support a wide range of legal functions across multiple practice areas, including mass torts, personal injury, medical malpractice, discrimination, wage and hour litigation, sex trafficking, child and adult sexual assaults. Your expertise will help ensure efficient case management, accurate legal research, and thorough document review. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy.
- Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw; ensure proper filing, indexing, and retrieval of case files.
- Draft and proofread legal documents including complaints, pleadings, discovery requests, correspondence, and reports with precision and clarity.
- Draft and proofread settlement menoranda;
- Conduct comprehensive document review for litigation cases; identify relevant information and summarize findings effectively.
- Support project management tasks by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining case calendars to ensure timely progression of cases.
- Interview clients and witnesses as needed to gather pertinent information for case development while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, transcription, and providing executive administrative support to attorneys when required.
Skills
- Proven experience in paralegal roles with familiarity with mass torts, personal injury law, state and federal litigation in New York and New Jersey.
- Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms; ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal case management software;
- Effective writing skills for drafting legal documents with accuracy; proofreading for grammatical precision.
- Strong interpersonal skills including interviewing techniques; professional phone etiquette essential for client interactions.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
