Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable delivery driver who is willing to use own vehicle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for 50 to 150 stops a day depending on work load. This candidate will safely transport goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to develop skills in warehouse operations and route management.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload packages using appropriate equipment manual lifting techniques
- Ensure accurate delivery of goods to customers, verifying recipient information and obtaining signatures as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any issues
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any delivery concerns.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or route planning tools to meet delivery schedules
Requirements
Pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus but not required
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier.
- Ability to lift heavy packages safely and move items efficiently within warehouse or delivery environments
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Excellent driving skills with knowledge of route driving and traffic regulations
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules or routes
