The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community provides direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. This role ensures residents receive high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.
Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and overall health
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and document resident conditions and report changes to RN or physician
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Assist in developing and updating care plans
Respond to resident calls and emergencies in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures
Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) when needed
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
