Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts to gain knowledge or showcase their skill set.
Responsibilities:
-Consistently prepare meals according to recipes and plating guidelines.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking: including chopping, slicing and mixing of various meats and vegetables.
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure that food is cooked properly and served at the right temperature
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Monitor food stock levels and inform the supervisor of any shortages
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Skills:
- Previous experience preparing similar dishes.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Proficient knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
