We're looking for a kind, thoughtful SLP to join our Early Intervention team through Elwyn in Philadelphia. This is a mobile, 1099 contract position with flexible scheduling where you set your own caseload and availability.
At Small Talk Therapeutic Services, we're reimagining what pediatric therapy can look like. We're a therapist-owned, neurodiversity-affirming practice grounded in strength-based, child-led care. We work with young children in a way that honors autonomy, sensory needs, and connection.
Our Culture:
We center acceptance, kindness, and equity in everything we do. We work to dismantle ableist norms and support children in ways that honor their autonomy, sensory needs, and communication preferences. Our team is made up of thoughtful clinicians who support each other and share a passion for neurodiversity-affirming work.
What We Offer:
- Choose your own schedule and caseload
- Voluntary benefits available: dental, vision, short-term disability (including maternity leave)
- Access to clinic space and shared materials
- $1000 stipend upon completion of your first 3 months with Small Talk
What Makes Us Different
- Supportive, connected team culture with monthly meetings, newsletters, and team events. Everything is optional, join when it's helpful and skip when life is busy
- Mentorship from experienced, ND-affirming SLPs trained in AAC and gestalt language processing through an evidenced based lens.
- Opportunities for growth outside of direct therapy: grad student and CF supervision, team trainings, and community presentations
- ASHA-approved CEU provider with opportunities for continued learning
- As an SLP-owned agency, we are mindful of burnout - We value boundaries and sustainable caseloads
What You’ll Do
- Provide Elwyn Early Intervention services for children ages 3-5 in Philadelphia
- Develop and implement IEP-based goals using child-led, play-based strategies
- Coach caregivers to support communication development
- Document progress and session notes per Elwyn, city, and state requirements
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in trainings and contribute to a growing community of ND-affirming providers
Who We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania
- Experience with children ages 0-5 preferred
- Understanding of, or openness to learning, ND-affirming and relationship-based practices
- Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
- Kind, curious, and grounded in respect for learners and families
This role is a great fit for someone who wants to work independently but not in isolation. If you're an SLP who’s excited to support children through a lens of connection, we’d love to hear from you.
