The Administrative Assistant/H.R. Coordinator provides administrative and human resources support to ensure the efficient operation of the company. This position serves as a key point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters, supports onboarding and employee record management, and assists with a variety of administrative projects across multiple departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains confidentiality, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and general inquiries.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientation, and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate employee document management, including employment records, benefits forms, and policy acknowledgments.
- Assist with HR projects, employee communications, and other human resources initiatives as assigned.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the President and Director of Human Resources.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments as needed.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documents.
- Maintain office filing systems, both electronic and paper.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and visitors professionally.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience; human resources experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
