Position Overview
We are seeking experienced, compassionate, and dependable Mobile Phlebotomists to join our growing nationwide network of independent healthcare professionals. In this role, you will travel to patients' homes, assisted living communities, long-term care facilities, and other designated locations throughout Trinidad, CO and surrounding areas to perform specimen collections while delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, nursing facilities, workplaces, and other approved collection sites.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections according to established laboratory standards.
- Collect specimens from pediatric, adult, geriatric, and special-needs populations, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and physical disabilities.
- Verify patient identity using proper identification procedures.
- Accurately label, package, and transport specimens according to laboratory requirements.
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Document completed visits and collection information accurately and promptly.
- Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, physicians, laboratory personnel, and scheduling staff.
- Maintain infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards during every patient encounter.
- Represent the organization professionally while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

- Routine laboratory collections
- Home health visits
- Assisted living and skilled nursing facility collections
- Wellness screenings
- Employer health screenings
- Homebound patient collections
- Difficult venipuncture collections
- Pediatric and geriatric specimen collections
Assignment availability varies based on patient demand and geographic location.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-5 years of professional phlebotomy experience required (5+ years preferred).
- Strong venipuncture and capillary collection skills.
- Experience with difficult blood draws strongly preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric, adult, geriatric, disabled, and special-needs patients preferred.
- Active Phlebotomy Certification (CPT or equivalent) preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and bedside manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Contractor Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- Current automobile insurance.
- Smartphone with reliable internet access and GPS capability.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
- Ability to accept assignments based on your availability.
- Maintain all required professional licenses and certifications.
- Provide and maintain personal phlebotomy equipment and supplies, including:
- Phlebotomy supplies
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Specimen transport cooler or bag
- Portable centrifuge (when required for specific assignments)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to enter various residential and healthcare environments.
- Ability to drive between multiple patient appointments throughout the day.
Screening & Onboarding Requirements
Selected contractors must successfully complete:
- Background Check
- Drug Screening (including THC)
- Credential Verification
- Independent Contractor Agreement
- Required onboarding documentation
- Proof of required certifications and licenses
Compensation
- $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and assignment type.
- Mileage reimbursement for travel exceeding 25 miles at the current IRS reimbursement rate.
