Overview
The Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This position involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills and a commitment to ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Shifts:
Monday through Friday - 11:00 pm -7:00 am (8 hours/shift; 40 hours/week)
Duties
- Officer will be positioned in the security shack, which is air conditioned and equipped with security cameras.
- The officer will monitor the container temperatures in the yard and ensure that there are no unathorized individuals present.
- The officer will be responsible for performing hourly tours and recording temperatures of the refrigerated containers to ensure the temperature is within the proper limits.
Skills
- Possesses Security Guard Card (required)
- Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential risks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
