We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and knowledgeable Exotic & Luxury Automotive Acquisition Specialist to join our team and help us build an outstanding inventory of exotic and luxury automobiles.
This is a key position within our dealership, focused on identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and acquiring the right exotic and luxury vehicles at the right price.
Position Overview
The Exotic & Luxury Automotive Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing exotic and luxury vehicles through auctions, dealer networks, private-party purchases, trade-ins, wholesalers, and other acquisition channels.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the exotic and luxury automotive market and knows how to evaluate vehicle condition, history, specifications, options, market demand, and profitability.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive vehicle acquisition/buying is required. Experience specifically acquiring exotic and luxury vehicles is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and acquire exceptional exotic and luxury vehicles for dealership inventory
- Develop relationships with exotic and luxury vehicle auctions, dealers, wholesalers, collectors, and private sellers
- Evaluate exotic and luxury vehicles based on condition, history, mileage, specifications, options, and market demand
- Research vehicle history reports, auction history, ownership history, and service records
- Analyze exotic and luxury vehicle wholesale and retail market values
- Negotiate purchase prices while maintaining dealership profitability objectives
- Identify desirable exotic and luxury makes, models, specifications, colors, interiors, options, and configurations
- Conduct or coordinate detailed inspections before purchasing exotic and luxury vehicles
- Identify mechanical, cosmetic, structural, or history-related concerns
- Estimate reconditioning costs and factor them into exotic and luxury vehicle acquisition decisions
- Monitor exotic and luxury automotive market trends and customer demand
- Attend and participate in physical and online exotic and luxury vehicle auctions
- Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the exotic and luxury automotive industry
- Coordinate acquisitions from initial sourcing through purchase, transportation, and arrival at the dealership
- Work closely with management, service, detailing, inventory, and sales teams
- Maintain accurate records of exotic and luxury vehicle purchases and acquisition costs
- Present acquisition opportunities to management and make recommendations on vehicles to purchase or pass on
- Help maintain a fresh, desirable, and profitable exotic and luxury inventory
- Monitor acquired exotic and luxury vehicles and assist with strategies to minimize aging inventory
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive acquisition/buying is required
- Exotic and luxury automotive acquisition experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of the exotic and luxury automotive market
- Proven experience with dealer auctions and online exotic and luxury vehicle auctions
- Strong exotic and luxury vehicle appraisal and evaluation skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong understanding of exotic and luxury vehicle values, market trends, and profitability
- Ability to recognize desirable exotic and luxury vehicle specifications
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to make confident purchasing decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with automotive valuation tools, auction platforms, CRM, or DMS systems
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

We're looking for someone who knows exotic and luxury vehicles and knows how to buy them.
The ideal candidate understands that acquiring an exotic or luxury vehicle requires more than simply knowing the retail price. You should understand market value, vehicle history, specifications, condition, service records, rarity, demand, and potential reconditioning costs.
Experience with brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Range Rover, Maserati, Lotus, Lexus, and other exotic and luxury brands is highly valued.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $480,000.00 per year
