Responsibilities
- Perform pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing to meet client specifications and breed standards
- Handle dogs and other animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming area and properly sanitize tools and equipment after each use
- Assist with animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safe grooming sessions for pets and staff
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice
- Support pet care activities such as feeding, basic veterinary assistance, or kennel duties when needed
- Keep detailed records of grooming services provided, pet behavior observations, and client preferences
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques
- Knowledge of animal handling, restraint methods, and pet care best practices
- Previous veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with animal health protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger dogs or equipment safely
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address their needs confidently
- Familiarity with dog training principles and equine experience is advantageous but not required
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and a genuine love for animals are essential for success in this role
Groomer wanted for Professional Kennel one day a week. Must have Grooming experience. Must know how to use a dremel. Send information on your grooming experience. This is not a learning job! You must have grooming experience or do not reply. Location - On top of Harmony-Brass Castle Road.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
