Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and comprehensive clinical screenings to determine individualized treatment needs and appropriate levels of care.
- Provide evidence-based addiction and behavioral health counseling tailored to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.
- Utilize therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, behavioral therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis to support recovery, behavior change, and improved mental health outcomes.
- Respond to and manage crisis situations through effective crisis intervention and stabilization strategies, ensuring client safety and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records while strictly adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary Community Support Team members, including medical providers, case managers, and social service professionals, to coordinate treatment plans and integrated care.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions addressing substance use disorders, PTSD, mental health challenges, and other behavioral health conditions.
- Support community-based services, including home visits, hospital coordination, and linkage to community resources to promote recovery, stability, and independent living.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, child and family counseling, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Strong background in addiction medicine, behavioral health, and mental health counseling, including diagnostic evaluation using ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience with patient care processes, including intake procedures, patient assessments, case management, and data collection to support program evaluation or research initiatives.
- Skilled in group therapy facilitation, social work practices, behavior management strategies, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies.
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and a working understanding of ICD coding systems to ensure accurate clinical documentation and diagnoses.
- Ability to respond effectively to crisis situations, demonstrating professionalism, sound clinical judgment, and strong communication skills in high-pressure environments.
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
