Project Scheduler

Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Scheduler to support our Program Management Office (PMO). Working with the Master Scheduler, the Scheduler will develop and maintain project schedules for multiple programs. This role involves working closely with program managers, engineers, and other team members to track project progress, allocate resources, and identify the necessary skill levels required for each project phase. The Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring that all project milestones, delivery deadlines, and resource needs are met in accordance with the contractual requirements of each project.
Duties Include:
- Coordinates w/ Program Managers, engineers, and manufacturing leads to develop and maintain detailed network project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project
- Ensures schedules meet contractual requirements
- Ensures schedules are in compliance w/ DCMA 14-point Assessment
- Ability to evaluate project progress, identify risks, and facilitate interventions to keep projects on track
- Analyze schedules & identify the Critical Path of each Project
- Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and timeline changes
- Create "what-if" scenarios that can be understood by technical leadership
- Works with Master Scheduler on integrating program schedules into the enterprise Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in critical path method (CPM) project scheduling
- Proficient in Microsoft Project
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Earned Value experience, to include Earned Schedule
- Project Server/Online
- Milestones Professional
- Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) using software such as Full Monte
- Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) Hardware Development or Manufacturing Programs
Work Environment:
- Office, Lab, Warehouse and Field environment
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods of time at desk, in telecoms/meetings with peers, management
- Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at customer worksites and Invariant facilities
This position is expected to be performed only in the state of Alabama.
