Dayton Grocery Outlet is a customer-focused grocery store committed to delivering great value and friendly service to our community. We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Evening Shift Lead to help manage our evening operations and ensure the store runs smoothly through closing.
Position Summary:
The Evening Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing store operations during evening hours typically from 3:30pm - 9:30pm, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and securing the store at closing. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support evening staff to ensure efficient store operations
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns
- Ensure shelves are stocked, faced, and store appearance is maintained
- Handle cash management, including register counts and deposits
- Enforce store policies and procedures
- Oversee store closing procedures, including securing the building
- Communicate effectively with store ownership/management
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or grocery experience preferred
- Prior supervisory or management experience is a plus
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable handling cash and basic reporting
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
