Sugar Bowl Resort is seeking an energetic and guest-focused Gondola Operator to escort guests and their personal belongings to and from the garage loading dock. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the gondola, ensuring the secure transportation of passengers, belongings, and freight. A strong focus is placed on guest interaction and quality service as we strive to surpass our guests’ needs and expectations. While maintaining a professional image, you will identify, show sensitivity to, and respond to our guests’ needs safely and promptly to ensure complete satisfaction for all our guests.

What You’ll do:
- Greet every guest and teammate with positivity and genuine enthusiasm
- Operate the gondola safely and smoothly, keeping the mountain moving
- Lend a hand helping guests load and unload with ease
- Load and unload skis, snowboards, and gear like a pro
- Maintain cleanliness of the garage, gondola building, and cabins
- Help homeowners and hotel guests with luggage and personal items, making their arrival feel effortless
- Team up with Village Services and the Hotel to make sure overnight guests have a seamless arrival
- Handle shipping and receiving duties with care and organization
- Keep the crowds moving and the lines flowing smoothly
- Become a go-to source of Sugar Bowl knowledge, ready to answer guest questions and general inquiries
- Perform snow removal and shoveling before, during, and after storms
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds regularly
- Comfortable standing, walking, and moving for extended periods, often in cold and snowy conditions
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for full shifts
- Comfortable bending, reaching, and assisting guests with loading and unloading equipment and belongings
- Able to safely operate mechanical equipment after completing required training
