Overview
We are looking for a dynamic ESL (English as a Second Language) Instructor, that will inspire and empower adult learners from diverse cultural backgrounds to achieve their language goals. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive ESL curricula tailored to adult learners’ needs, incorporating diverse learning styles and adaptive instructional strategies
- Deliver engaging lessons through classroom management techniques that promote active participation and positive learning experiences
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations; adjust lesson plans accordingly to maximize learning outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives, teacher coaching programs, and best practices in adult language education
Experience
- Proven classroom experience teaching ESL or adult literacy education, with a focus on working with diverse cultural backgrounds and learning styles
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques that foster inclusive environments
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching approaches based on individual student needs and varying learning preferences
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clear lesson plans, instructional materials, and progress reports
- Prior experience coaching fellow teachers or providing professional development in ESL or adult education settings is a plus
