CCI is seeking a Construction Superintendent with experience leading ground-up, commercial, industrial, renovation, or multi-family construction projects. You’ll have the opportunity to manage the on-site construction activities associated with the field operations of a project from day one! Bringing the project to completion on schedule, within budget, and per the project specifications.
A Day in the Life
· Participate with the Project Manager in developing schedules at the beginning of a project.
· Oversee the execution of the work by all crew members and subcontractors, including quality and production; ensuring that they work to job specifications and follow drawings.
· Conduct subcontractor pre-construction meeting.
· Order necessary safety equipment, tools, and materials as required in order to meet project demands and product lead times.
· Direct adherence to the company’s safety program in all phases and areas of the project.
· Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and within the allotted time schedule in an efficient manner to produce the expected profit.
· Assist in the preparation of all job progress and cost reports to accurately reflect actual costs.
· Inform Project Managers and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes.
· Maintain daily logs to record all significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors, owner representative contacts, commitments, agreements and approvals.
· Schedule final inspections, schedule and facilitate owner training upon substantial project completion.
Qualifications
The Superintendent will have experience in managing self-performed and subcontracted work. They must know how to use popular construction project management software, along with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Organization, time-management, leadership skills, competency in conflict & crisis management and budgeting is of prime importance. Willing to travel within the United States area as needed. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 or more years of construction experience, with at least 5 of those years as a lead superintendent on jobs that are a minimum of 100k sq ft.
