We are seeking an experienced licenced veterinary technician for a busy, fast-paced, exotics-only veterinary hospital .
This is a full-time position, 4-5 days per week including Saturdays on rotation.
Duties include, but are not limited to, lifting and restraining various species for exams and procedures, obtaining and processing lab samples, running technician appointments, hospital cleaning and organization, medicating and caring for hospital patients, writing medical notes and maintaining hospital records, stewardship over controlled drugs and logs, preparation for surgery, monitoring and recovery, sterilization and infection control, record keeping and billing, preparation of estimates, client communication, discharging patients (demonstrating medication techniques to owners and discussing care), preparing and compounding medications, and laundry!
