Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated OBGYN sonographer with experience in MFM( Maternal Fetal Medicine) to join our esteemed medical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in maternal-fetal medicine, physiology, and diagnostic imaging, with a strong commitment to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed obstetric ultrasounds for high-risk pregnancies (Maternal-Fetal Medicine/MFM cases)
- Assess fetal anatomy, growth, and development throughout pregnancy
- Evaluate fetal well-being using biophysical profiles, Doppler studies, and amniotic fluid measurements
- Identify and document fetal abnormalities or complications
- Conduct first-, second-, and third-trimester ultrasound examinations
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures (e.g., amniocentesis, CVS)
- Obtain accurate measurements and high-quality diagnostic images
- Review patient medical history and correlate findings with clinical indications
- Communicate preliminary observations to MFM physicians and healthcare teams
- Educate and support patients during ultrasound procedures
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functionality
- Accurately document findings in electronic medical records and reporting systems
- Follow safety, infection control, and HIPAA/privacy regulations
- Stay current with advances in fetal imaging and MFM protocols
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound/sonography program
- Current certification through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent credentialing body
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential required
- OB/GYN specialty certification (RDMS-OB/GYN) strongly preferred or required
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) or high-risk obstetric ultrasound experience
- Certification in Nuchal Translucency (NT) and cervical length assessment preferred
- Knowledge of fetal anatomy, fetal echocardiography, Doppler studies, and high-risk pregnancy imaging
- Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and imaging software
- Strong understanding of obstetric terminology, anatomy, and pathology
- Ability to obtain high-quality diagnostic images with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Strong organizational, documentation, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Minimum of 1–3 years of OB/GYN MFM sonography experience preferred
Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
