Exterior / Commercial Painter
Location: San Diego County – Travel Between Multiple Properties Required
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $26–$28 per hour
Join Our Team
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Painter to support multiple apartment communities throughout San Diego County. This role is ideal for a skilled painter who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working independently, and has experience with both residential and commercial painting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior painting for apartment communities and common areas
- Operate commercial paint sprayers and power washers safely and effectively
- Prepare surfaces for painting including sanding, patching, masking, caulking, and priming
- Complete prep work including:
- 5-minute mud applications
- Stucco patching and repairs
- Surface texture and paint prep
- Apply flat, semi-gloss, and oil-based paints using proper preparation and finishing techniques
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment
- Travel daily between multiple properties as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA standards, and safe work practices
Qualifications
- Previous residential and/or commercial painting experience required
- Comfortable using commercial paint sprayers and power washers
- Knowledge of paint preparation, application methods, and finishing techniques
- Experience with interior and exterior prep work and minor patch repairs
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards and protocols
- OSHA 10 Certification required (or ability to provide proof of completion)
- Ability to transport painting equipment, which may include paint sprayers, paint, sundries, and related tools/equipment
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties daily
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and time management skills
Compensation & Travel
- Competitive pay: $26–$28 per hour based on experience
- Mileage reimbursement provided in accordance with company policy for travel between regions/properties
