Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development and literacy education.
- Engage with toddlers through play-based activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play while ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and emotional regulation among children.
- Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress and classroom activities in accordance with licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive environment that supports special education needs and early intervention strategies.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare laws such as mandated reporting laws is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- A genuine passion for nurturing toddlers’ growth through curriculum development, literacy education, and hands-on learning experiences.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
