About the Role:
The Lead Teacher plays a pivotal role in shaping the early developmental experiences of Toddlers within an educational setting. This position is responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth of infants from 12-24 months. The Lead Teacher leads the classroom team by designing and implementing age-appropriate curricula that align with developmental milestones and educational standards. Ultimately, the Lead Teacher fosters a foundation for lifelong learning and well-being by promoting positive interactions and responsive caregiving practices.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field OR

At least 5 years of experience working directly with infants or toddlers in an educational or childcare setting.

Knowledge of child developmental milestones and best practices in care and education.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a toddler classroom.

Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing infant care and early childhood education.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities tailored to toddlers' needs and interests.

Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff within the classroom to maintain high-quality care and education.

Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, adjusting care and learning strategies accordingly.

Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.

Engage with families regularly to share observations, provide guidance, and support their involvement in their child’s early learning.

Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and participate in ongoing professional development.
