Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the accurate forecasting of project costs for diverse construction initiatives. In this role, you will analyze blueprints, review technical drawings, and collaborate with project teams to develop precise estimates that support successful project execution. Your expertise in cost management, material requirements, and construction industry standards will be vital in delivering competitive bids and maintaining profitability. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and possible subcontractor costs.
- Analyze blueprints, plans, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor forecasts.
- Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Confer with general superintendent, design team, and project managers on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Present prepared estimates to stakeholders in planning and organizing project budgets.
- Assist with maintaining/ qualifying suppliers.
- Assist with/ provide Inventory support.
- Use computer software to calculate estimates and evaluate a project’s financial feasibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience estimating construction projects.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating practices including blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and estimating material requirements.
- Ability to read construction drawings thoroughly and review technical specifications accurately.
- Able to turn a design into a final financial figure.
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with computer software for job costing or estimating.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
