Job Title : Mechanical Engineer

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with experience in HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and mechanical systems design to support Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Value Engineering projects. The role is responsible for HVAC and plumbing system design, equipment selection, engineering calculations, code compliance, construction document preparation, system analysis, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate with clients and project teams, conduct site visits, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet project requirements, schedules, and budgets while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and develop HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic systems for Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Value Engineering projects.
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations, fluid analysis, pressure calculations, and equipment selection.
- Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications.
- Prepare code-compliant construction, permit, and bid documents in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Conduct system evaluations, energy analysis, and life-cycle cost analysis to optimize system performance and project value.
- Recommend design modifications and value-engineering solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and project requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, estimators, and project teams to develop effective engineering solutions.
- Attend project meetings, job-site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project turnover meetings as required.
- Support estimating and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
- · Minimum 5 years of Design experience.
- · 2 or more years’ experience in plumbing, hydronics and mechanicals.
- · Licensed PE
Job Skills:
- · Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- · Detail oriented.
- · Strong organizational skills.
- · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- · Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- · Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as well as ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios to practical situations.
- · Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
- · Interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
