Lanier Home Restoration is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reconstruction Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for inspecting properties, creating accurate repair estimates, and working closely with insurance carriers, adjusters, and homeowners to ensure projects are properly scoped and approved.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in construction and estimating, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident communicating with both clients and insurance professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess property damage and determine scope of work
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using Xactimate or similar software
- Communicate with insurance adjusters to negotiate and finalize scopes
- Review and analyze insurance reports, photos, and documentation
- Ensure all estimates meet company standards and insurance guidelines
- Work closely with project managers and production teams to ensure smooth job flow
- Maintain clear and professional communication with homeowners throughout the process
- Track and follow up on estimate approvals and revisions
- Identify supplements and ensure proper documentation is submitted
Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years of experience in construction estimating, restoration, or reconstruction
- Proficiency in Xactimate
- Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction
- Experience working with insurance claims and adjusters
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and scopes of work
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- IICRC certifications (Water, Fire, Mold)
- Experience in insurance restoration industry
- Knowledge of local building codes
- Prior experience in a fast-paced restoration environment
