Overview
The Office Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the church office, including the coordination of all clerical activities and facility operations. The Office Manager must maintain a professional relationship with the pastors, Director of Christian Education, staff, congregation, and community. The Office Manager must keep in strict confidence information acquired through the duties of this position which may be personal in nature to church members and/or staff. The Office Manager is the welcoming face of Peace in Christ Lutheran Church and is expected to maintain regular office hours.
Duties
· Assist the called staff as requested.
· Greet and assist visitors to the office and church facilities.
· Answer telephone and forward messages to appropriate parties.
· Check and respond to church email daily.
· Daily collection and distribution of mail.
· Maintain and update church member database and maintain attendance records.
· Generate weekly reports for giving and attendance.
· Create weekly bulletins, prayer list, and other bulletin inserts.
· Design PowerPoints for worship.
· Order all office supplies, cleaning supplies, and various materials requested as needed.
· Ensure office equipment is in working order and oversee maintenance.
· Maintain church calendar.
· Coordinate activities with the Preschool.
· Coordinate requests for use of church facility.
· Coordinate cleaning and repairs services (floor, heating, A/C, water, septic, fire alarm)
· Update and print church membership directories.
· Maintain employee files
· Develop Policy & Procedures manuals as required.
· Coordinate volunteers for church functions.
· Email notices for meetings for church committees.
· Monitor and ensure that the website/social media sites are updated and operational.
· Design and distribute weekly e-newsletter.
· Coordinate IT hardware and software needs with contractor.
· Update electronic roadside sign.
· Electronic file management.
· Mass communications to members through email and e-newsletters
· Complete other duties as assigned by the called staff.
Requirements
· Familiarity of working in a faith-based organization.
· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
· Strong communication skills.
· Website development and maintenance
· Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to post church activities
· Strong technical skills

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
