Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Administer injections accurately for Epogen
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection, and processing to support accurate medical diagnoses.
- Provide specialized care for diverse populations including individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or memory care services..
- Document all patient interactions meticulously in medical records while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with EMR/EHR systems
- Proven proficiency in critical care environments including ICU, emergency room, Level I/II trauma centers, and hospital medicine units.
- Strong background in long-term care settings such as skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities; familiarity with geriatrics and dementia care is highly valued.
- Skilled in performing advanced nursing procedures like IV insertion, venipuncture, catheter care, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and diagnostic evaluation protocols.
- Capable of managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease control, hospice care, and post-acute recovery processes.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations adults in outpatient or inpatient settings, and individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication to deliver holistic care tailored to each individual’s condition and preferences.
