Part-Time Medical Assistant — Advanced Oncology (Radiation Oncology)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our Radiation Oncology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, preferably in oncology and outpatient clinic environments. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform intake assessments and document patient histories.
- Measure and record vital signs accurately.
- Maintain patient records using EHR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare patients for radiation therapy treatment and other diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Uphold medical terminology standards during documentation and communication.
Skills
- Proficient in medical administrative support functions.
- Knowledge of ICD coding for accurate billing and record keeping.
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of care.
- Bilingual preferred: Spanish or Korean.
Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week). Mondays through Fridays 7:00am until 11:00am
Pay: DOE
