American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department float pool position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience in a similarly sized trauma facility.

High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center ED environment with complex, high-volume trauma cases
-
Float pool position primarily staffed to the ED, caring for boarder patients (which may include med/surg, stepdown, and ICU-level patients)
-
May be required to float to an acute care unit as needed

Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week

Block scheduling is generally not approved
-
Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

No on-call requirements

Active GA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC

Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma facility

Demonstrated experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments managing critical and complex cases

Experience with diverse and severe cases in large-scale hospital settings — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
