Serenity-A Healing Center for Moms is an outpatient mental and behavioral health treatment center dedicated to empowering new mothers with coping skills and facilitating healing for mothers during the pregnancy and postpartum periods. We intimately understand the unique nuances related to treating expectant and postpartum mothers. Our evidence-based models of treatment focus on building skills and minimizing shame in a safe and welcoming environment.
We are seeking a Part-time Childcare Specialist in our Provo office who will also perform simple duties associated with managing the office and caring for the office space. This is not a seasonal summer position. We are looking for someone who can stay on with us long term.
Primary duties will include:
- Nurture and care for clients’ children during group and individual sessions
- Be willing to soothe and comfort a crying baby and even change the occasional diaper if needed
- Oversee the safety of each child under your care
- Keep the office and play areas tidy and in good order (i.e., be willing to pull out the vacuum if needed)
- Clean and sanitize the bathrooms and eating areas on a regular basis
- Be willing to run small errands from time-to-time and to keep the snacks stocked for the children and clients (I.e., handle the occasional Costco run)
- Other tasks as assigned by company management
Requirements:
- A calm and patient demeanor
- Ability to lift and carry a small child with ease
- Ability to have multiple children under your care at one time
- Willingness to complete tasks unrelated to childcare, for example, cleaning and sanitizing the bathrooms and eating area.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish (a plus, not required)
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am-1:30pm Wednesday 5:00-8:00 PM
Pay: $15.00 per hour
