Accounting Specialist: Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining general journal entries and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in financial reporting by ensuring accurate recording of transactions and maintaining organized supporting documentation. This position monitors and reviews payment processing platforms, identifies and corrects misclassified transactions, and supports the integrity of funding allocations. The position includes performing account and bank reconciliations, maintaining allocation processes, and generating financial reports. Additionally, it supports audit and compliance activities and utilizes accounting systems and technology to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant financial operations.
Qualifications required for the Accounting Specialist position include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related discipline or an Associate’s degree with 3+ years of relevant accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills is required. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills with attention to detail and organization. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Self-motivation and a detail-oriented approach are critical for success in this role. Experience with Financial Edge NXT is considered an advantage.
This is a Part Time 32-hour position, with a combination of in-office days and one day remote work for the right candidate. Flexible work schedule, with no holidays or weekends required! The starting salary range is $41,500 to $43,500 based on 32 hours per week and dependent upon experience.
