The Production Control Specialist 1 is responsible for managing and maintaining production order flow within our systems. This role monitors open order tracking, ensures accurate job creation, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet customer shipment commitments. The Specialist proactively identifies and resolves scheduling conflicts, communicates delivery changes, and supports daily operations by maintaining data integrity and workflow efficiency throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain production order flow, ensuring accurate and timely processing of work throughout the manufacturing cycle.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of Work-In-Process (WIP) flow, with emphasis on cast manufacturing operations.

Utilize Oracle WIP, Order Management, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) modules to support production and order management activities.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics Operations, and Customer Experience teams to meet customer shipment commitments.

Communicate delivery delays or inconsistencies and provide accurate revised shipment dates as needed.

Serve as a liaison between production personnel and planning teams to identify, communicate, and resolve scheduling issues.

Adjust production schedules as necessary to support workflow efficiency and customer commitments.

Complete daily standard work activities, including report updates, Salesforce case management, and monitoring out-of-stock products.

Create and manage production jobs for various processes, including casted replacement jobs.

Ensure the Open Order Tracking System reflects current and accurate information for all open customer orders.

Apply effective customer service principles when supporting internal stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Proficiency with computer applications, including Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing, production control, planning, scheduling, or logistics environment.

Knowledge of Oracle systems, including WIP, Order Management, and Warehouse Management modules.
