MaxCare Health & Residential Services has six residential group homes offering nursing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex medical needs. We have a great work environment and an experienced management team. Every Other Weekend all shifts
Basic Responsibilities:
-
Provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities
-
Provide basic patient care and treatment in collaboration with the Direct Support Professional /CNA
-
Educate and update patients on medical treatments
-
Daily documentation of services provided and progress towards goals
-
Collaborate with an RN to administer prescribed medications and coordinate services as applicable

Minimum Qualifications:
-
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Virginia
-
Current CPR certification preferred
-
Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred

Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
-
Ability to build rapport with patients, families, state officials, and peers

Compassionate and caring demeanor

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
