American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a short-term acute care facility in Indiana, requiring telemetry experience and PALS certification.

Short-term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
-
Med/Surg Tele unit that admits pediatric patients
-
Patient ratio of 1:5
-
Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

Minimum of 3 weekends required per 6-week period
-
On-call assignment is a possibility based on unit needs
-
Floating to other units or areas is possible based on hospital needs
-
Charting is performed in Meditech
-
Active RN license in Indiana or a compact state currently in hand
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Telemetry (tele) experience required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

PALS must be in hand prior to starting the assignment

Ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred

2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and will be subject to a pay rate differential

Any time off requests must be submitted upfront; no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved
-
If a shift is called out, the traveler will be expected to pick up a replacement shift
-
Previous direct employees of the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible without prior written approval

Any color scrubs are acceptable; professional appearance is expected
