Overview
Transitions Reintegration Services is a provider of rehabilitative therapy services to individuals who have sustained injuries resulting from a motor vehicle accident. We offer Occupational, Vocational, Recreational & Aquatic Therapy throughout the state of Michigan. All of our therapy services are provided in our clients’ home and community.
We are currently seeking a Vocational Therapist to provide home and community-based therapy services. The Vocational Therapist in this position will be responsible for completing initial consultations, scheduling clients weekly, maintaining communication with clients’ case manager and other interdisciplinary team members, completing required documentation, and assisting clients with achieving their work reintegration goals. Examples of duties you may be assisting clients with include, but are not limited to, interest testing and skills analysis, resume development, sourcing job leads, applying, and following up with employers, support with academic/certification goals, work hardening (such as a volunteer job), and job coaching. Because all of our therapies are provided in the home and community, the ability to drive to and from clients’ location is a requirement of this position.

Job Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree
● The physical ability to lift, position, and transport patients with physical impairments.
● Must be willing to travel to clients’ locations (typically, up to 2 hours)
● Experience working with individuals who have sustained injuries from a motor vehicle accident and/or experience working with individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, chronic pain, or fractures.
● Experience and/or education in work reintegration and/or community reintegration/leisure activities.

Duties
- Provide direct support and guidance to individuals with Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of clients.
- Conduct recruiting and interviewing processes for potential candidates.
- Mentor individuals in their personal and professional development.
- Collaborate with other professionals to create comprehensive support plans.
- Stay informed about employment labor laws to ensure compliance in all practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with Brain injuries
- Strong skills in recruiting, interviewing, and mentoring.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
