Equilibrium Physical Therapy is a boutique private outpatient Physical Therapy practice located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We are seeking a positive, highly skilled, and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing collaborative care team as a 1099 contractor in a hybrid clinic and in-home role.
Our practice specializes in delivering a concierge-style rehabilitation and wellness experience with a strong emphasis on individualized care, patient relationships, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We work with a diverse patient population across rehabilitation, recovery, women’s health, and wellness-focused care in both the clinic and home setting throughout Manhattan.
We are seeking a massage therapist who is passionate about wellness, therapeutic care, and creating a warm, professional, and elevated patient experience.
Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides therapeutic massage services in both clinic and patient home settings
- Performs general therapeutic massage as well as prenatal and postpartum massage services
- Collaborates closely with Physical Therapists and the clinical team to support continuity of care and patient outcomes
- Maintains a professional, warm, and concierge-style patient experience at all times
- Documents sessions and communicates relevant updates to the clinical team as needed
- Maintains flexibility with scheduling based on patient demand, including evening availability as needed
- Saturday availability is a strong plus and compensated at a premium rate structure
- Assists in promoting and growing wellness and recovery services within the practice
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Active licensure and massage therapy certifications required. Relevant licenses and certifications are subject to verification. Previous experience in therapeutic massage, orthopedic rehabilitation, women’s health, prenatal/postpartum care, or boutique wellness environments is strongly preferred. Experience with myofascial techniques, recovery-focused treatment, and collaborative work alongside healthcare providers is a major plus.
A consistently upbeat attitude with an appreciation for teamwork is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The ideal candidate is professional, self-motivated, adaptable, and passionate about creating an exceptional patient experience in both clinic and home environments.

Compensation:
- 1099 contractor position
