Job Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated High School Tutors to inspire and support students in reaching their academic goals. You will provide engaging, structured academic support based on student needs and school expectations across a variety of subjects, including mathematics, science, English language arts, and test preparation (i.e., the regents). Your enthusiasm for teaching, combined with your ability to adapt to diverse learning styles, will empower students to excel academically and build confidence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-on-one and/or small-group tutoring,
- Supporting classroom instruction through push-in tutoring,
- Providing targeted push-out intervention and test preparation,
- Helping students understand challenging concepts and develop effective study habits,
- Tracking student progress and communicating with BrightMinds staff,
- Arriving prepared, professional, and on time for every session.
Our goal: Help every student become a more confident, capable, and independent learner.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching high school students across AT LEAST 1 or 2 of the core subjects such as math, science, or English language arts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students who have different learning styles and special education requirements.
- Background in classroom management and experience in writing skills development is preferred.
