Pay: $65,000 base + uncapped commission (realistic first-year earnings $85,000; top first-year BDM earned $145,000)

About the role WLX | Western Logistics Express, a growing Kansas City freight brokerage, is hiring entry-level Business Development Managers for our paid BDM Academy training program. No logistics or sales experience required — we teach you the industry, the craft, and the playbook. You bring the work ethic and the will to win.
Responsibilities - High-volume outbound prospecting (phone, email, LinkedIn) to build a book of business - Manage customer relationships and daily freight operations for your accounts - Negotiate rates, solve problems, and own outcomes from first call to delivered load - Hit and exceed measurable activity and revenue goals
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent grit (strong candidates without a degree encouraged to apply) - Competitive drive — athletics, military service, or performance-based work is a plus - Comfortable making a high volume of calls daily and hearing “no” on the way to “yes” - Coachable, accountable, and money-motivated - KC metro-based or ready to relocate home

Schedule: Monday–Friday, in office. Our best people are in early and stay late because their paycheck depends on it — and they like it that way.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year
