American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM certification.
-
Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit within the Women's and Children's building
-
12-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
-
Unit staffed with RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
-
Uses CPN and Meditech documentation systems
-
13-week assignment with a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift schedule
-
Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts, three weekend shifts, and one call shift for RNs
-
Travelers float first per unit policy
-
Unit follows a shared decision-making model for patient experience
-
Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
-
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (not Advanced) or CEFM
-
Experience with care of the laboring patient and immediate newborn care required

Experience circulating and recovering C-section patients required
-
Skilled in procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
-
No work history gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)

One professional reference required for consideration

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and newborns immediately following delivery

Circulate and recover cesarean section patients as part of daily unit responsibilities

Scrub colors required: Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray (not provided by facility)

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
