Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialetical behavioral therapy (DBT), EMDR, psychodynamic therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes.
- Provide specialized counseling for issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, PTSD, gender identity concerns, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient care coordination, and medical record keeping to ensure comprehensive support for each patient.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection efforts to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or LPCC
- Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques including psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology basics, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and electronic health record systems compliant with HIPAA standards.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, or special education populations preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
