Maintenance Technician – Full-Time / Hourly
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our hotel engineering team. This position works closely with and supports the Chief Engineer in keeping the hotel safe, comfortable, clean, and operating at its best.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and understands that in a hotel, the little things matter. Our Maintenance Technician will assist with the day-to-day maintenance needs of the property, from guest rooms and public areas to preventative maintenance and general repairs.
The ideal candidate is a team player who can work independently, troubleshoot problems, and jump in wherever help is needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer with the daily operation and maintenance of the hotel.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance throughout guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces.
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and assigned work orders.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, and general building issues.
- Respond promptly to guest room and hotel maintenance requests.
- Assist with maintaining hotel equipment, systems, and facilities in safe and proper working condition.
- Help identify potential maintenance issues before they become larger or more costly problems.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and communicate outstanding issues to the Chief Engineer.
- Assist with room inspections and maintenance projects as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe engineering/work area.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations and provide support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and other departments to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Chief Engineer or hotel leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong general knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to safely use common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies and work a flexible schedule when needed.
- Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing, and working in various areas of the hotel.

Pay: $23.91 - $26.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
