Wetzel’s Pretzels is looking for an experienced Field Business Manager in the Los Angeles area to coach approximately 50-70 franchised Wetzel’s Pretzels locations within the western region of the United States on sales, marketing, profitability and operations. The Field Business Manager acts as the liaison between the field and corporate office as well as supports franchisees with vendor relationships, store openings, and the overall business strategies.

Position Summary
This full-time individual contributor role is part of internal cross functional team designed to drive business initiatives, influence their peers based on their “areas of expertise” and using multiple computer software programs within the internal business environment. This position is not visa eligible.
Key Duties/Responsibilities

Support all aspects of Wetzel’s Pretzels new store openings and transfers

Develop and build professional relationships with franchisees and their teams to lead operations excellence

Assist franchisees with establishing strategic direction, business plans, goal setting and achievement
-
Communicate all new programs (i.e., marketing, new product rollouts, etc.) to franchisee community, and ensure proper rollout and execution

Ensure brand compliance and document (written and photograph) situations in which operating standards, health & safety, UFOC or other agreement violations are present

Conduct QSCE visits and submit all support documentation and photos

Communicates data, information and development opportunities

Conduct ongoing training ("train the trainer" orientation)

Assist with business presentations and the bi-annual convention

Ensure franchise agreement compliance

Aid internal brand team(s) with various projects, as necessary
Required Qualifications/Skills
-
Two to six years of related work experience
-
Possess operational knowledge of multi-unit QSR operations
-
Prior experience conducting in-store field inspections
-
Ability to interact with business owners and managers to drive the business model and achieve desired results

A keen understanding of how to influence and hold people accountable to ensure brand standards are met across stores in the assigned territory

Effective, skillful, and professional in communications, both written and oral

Strong organizational skills

Ability to prioritize workflow with a strong attention to detail and follow-through

Skilled at collaborating and developing partnerships with team members and business leaders

Be customer focused with a commitment to meeting the customers’ needs

Be able to travel approximately 75% of the work time

Food Safety Certification required

Have a valid driver license and be able to drive for business purposes
Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 25–50 pounds
