Sales Data Analyst
Summary
The Sales Data Analyst transforms complex sales and business data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth, improve customer targeting, and enhance operational efficiency. This role partners with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and other cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, optimize reporting processes, and deliver meaningful analytics that support strategic business decisions. The analyst leverages SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and other BI tools to develop dashboards, identify trends, and improve overall data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions through descriptive analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualizations using SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, and similar platforms.
- Analyze sales performance, financial results, and operational metrics to identify trends, variances, opportunities, and key performance drivers.
- Monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, pipeline velocity, quota attainment, and revenue performance to support informed decision-making.
- Collect, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources using ETL tools such as Alteryx, Talend, or SSIS.
- Design clear visualizations—including dashboards, scorecards, charts, and heatmaps—to effectively communicate business performance and insights.
- Maintain data integrity by identifying inconsistencies, auditing datasets, and implementing processes that ensure reporting accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify process inefficiencies and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Support ad hoc reporting requests and assist in resolving planning and MRP-related data discrepancies.
- Continuously improve reporting processes through automation, standardization, and optimization.
- Stay current with emerging analytics technologies, industry trends, and best practices through ongoing professional development.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
