Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Your primary duties will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, handling inquiries and reservations with care.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously to enhance guest relations.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for managing orders when necessary.
Skills
- Previous Host/Host experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong background in food service and hospitality with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is a plus.
- Experience in hotel guest services can be beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling inquiries professionally.
