We are an interiorscape, landscape and floral design company seeking experienced plant technicians to care for interior houseplants at restaurants, hotels and residences throughout Chicago. Professional experience with interior plants is required, including familiarity with common varieties and ability to recognize fertility, pest, and disease issues and treat accordingly. Reliable transportation is required (mileage and parking will be reimbursed). Our headquarters are between East Garfield Park and Humboldt Park but you will be working primarily in the field, with the majority of clients in the West Loop and Downtown Chicago. Currently hiring for a part-time position but there is opportunity to expand to full time. The current position requires availability Monday through Friday 7am-4pm but we will schedule your days within that range, ideally starting with three full days and growing the position into more to meet your needs and ours. We are looking for candidates with a great work ethic who are punctual, reliable and physically fit. Must be comfortable with ladders, lifting up to 50lbs and communicating with clients in a professional manner as well as staying in touch with supervisors and co-workers throughout the day via cell phone (phone stipend provided for data usage). Experience and references are required; pay negotiable and dependent upon experience but ranges from $22.50-$27.50/hr to start. Employees averaging 30 hours a week are eligible for healthcare benefits and employer match retirement planning after 60 days of consistent and satisfactory employment.
