Our client is seeking an experienced insurance regulatory professional to oversee the review and compliance of Life & Health insurance product filings while leading regulatory initiatives and supervising the Form & Rate Analyst team.
This position is ideal for candidates with direct experience working for an insurance carrier, Department of Insurance, or other organization responsible for Life & Health product filings and regulatory compliance.
Important: This position requires specialized experience in Life & Health insurance product filings. Applicants should have direct experience with rate and form filings, SERFF, and insurance regulatory operations. Experience that is limited to insurance sales, agency/broker operations, producer licensing, claims, underwriting, healthcare administration, banking compliance, or general corporate compliance does not, by itself, meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
- Lead the review and approval of Life & Health insurance product, rate, and form filings.
- Analyze legislation and regulatory changes affecting Life & Health insurance products.
- Draft regulations, bulletins, guidance documents, and departmental policies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state insurance laws and regulations.
- Partner with actuarial staff to support product strategy, rate adequacy, and market positioning.
- Review product specifications, policy forms, endorsements, and filing documentation.
- Support new product development, market expansion, and implementation activities.
- Monitor regulatory changes and oversee timely implementation.
- Supervise and mentor regulatory staff.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for executive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of supervisory or management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within insurance regulatory or product compliance operations.

- Experience working for a Department of Insurance, insurance carrier, or insurance regulatory organization
- Experience leading regulatory or product filing team
