The Position:
As an Investment Analyst, you’ll administer the firm’s investment operations, executing trades and rebalancing, conducting due diligence on managers and vendors, and continuously refining our model portfolios. You’ll work alongside our financial planners and investment team to translate sophisticated investment strategy into clear, actionable advice for clients while upholding high ethical standards and confidentiality. We have an ensemble approach to financial planning, so all employees work with many of the same clients. Our average client is a high-net-worth business owner, professional, or retiree, and our clients are spread throughout the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute weekly trading and rebalancing
- Assist with routine due diligence on managers, custodians, and vendors
- Periodically re-evaluate investment allocations and model portfolios
- Proactively monitor gains and loss harvesting
- Confidently deliver advice to clients via conference call or face-to-face meetings
- Structure advice and counseling around the big strategic financial picture
- Identify gaps in operational processes and implement innovative solutions relevant to the industry
What We’re Looking For:
- A rich appreciation and budding understanding for economics, finance, and investments
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze technical data to devise sophisticated investment strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal
- Strong critical thinking and the ability to identify solutions to client needs
- Personal responsibility, accountability, and the discipline to meet deadlines and keep agreements
- Comfort working within structured systems and processes—experience with or willingness to work within an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) framework
- A desire for continuous learning and professional growth
- CFP® certification, CPA, or CFA
- Candidates in Rapid City or who are willing to relocate to Rapid City
