Responsibilities
- Perform root canal treatments and other endodontic procedures with precision and care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate seamlessly with general dentists, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, and dental staff to coordinate patient care plans
- Utilize dental imaging technology and medical documentation to accurately assess patient needs and record treatment details
- Maintain strict infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety
- Educate patients on endodontic procedures, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to promote long-term oral health
- Manage dental fabrication processes for endodontic restorations and ensure quality standards are met
- Stay current with advancements in endodontics, dental terminology, and related fields such as prosthodontics and pediatrics to enhance service delivery
Qualifications
- Valid dental license with specialization in endodontics or eligibility to practice as an endodontist
- Proven experience in performing root canal therapy, dental extractions, and other advanced dental procedures
- Proficiency with dental office software including Open Dental
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, medical imaging, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment options clearly
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, four-handed dentistry techniques, and dental fabrication is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism
