CareNexus is seeking a dependable, experienced female CNA/CMT for a weekend private-duty case in Columbia, Maryland.
This client requires hands-on assistance with activities of daily living and has G-tube-related care needs. We are looking for a caregiver who is reliable, punctual, comfortable providing extensive personal care, and able to commit consistently to both Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assist client with all activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide bedside bathing/washing and personal hygiene care
- Assist with mobility, positioning, transfers, and fall-prevention measures
- Provide G-tube site care, including appropriate cleaning around the G-tube area
- Assist with or perform bolus G-tube feeding within authorized scope of practice
- Perform G-tube medication administration only when permitted by credential, delegation, care plan, and applicable Maryland requirements
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition
- Follow the established plan of care and agency procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for the client
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Maryland CNA certification
- CMT strongly preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid
- Training and/or hands-on experience with G-tube care and bolus G-tube feeding
- G-tube medication administration experience preferred for appropriately credentialed candidates
- Experience caring for clients requiring total or extensive ADL assistance
- Experience with fall-risk clients and safe transfers
- Physically capable of safely performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Reliable transportation to Columbia, MD
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
