Note: We are seeking an assistant property manager for a portfolio of properties (approximately 250 units) in the Portland Metro Area. The position is in-office at our NW 23rd headquarters, with the assistant property manager driving to and from properties in their personal vehicle (with proper insurance) as needed.

We've built our business and reputation on responsive services and the quality of the properties we manage. We’re growing and seeking an additional assistant property manager.
General Scope:
The Assistant Property Manager (Multi-Family) supports the Property Managers and Multifamily Director in protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of a diverse multi-family real estate portfolio. This role involves property operations, tenant relations, leasing support, financial coordination, and administrative duties.
Property Management
- Assist with day-to-day operations of multi-family properties.
- Serve as supporting contact for tenant maintenance requests; coordinate vendors and ensure completion of necessary repairs.
- Maintain vendor and tenant records.
Marketing & Leasing
- Post and manage property vacancies, support marketing and staging efforts.
- Support Leasing Team as needed (schedule showings, present properties to prospective tenants and follow up on inquiries).
- Assist with application screening, lease processing, and move-in readiness.
- Provide lease summaries and charges to accounting team for system setup.
Tenant Relations
- Respond to tenant concerns, explain lease terms, and deliver excellent customer service.
- Foster positive tenant relationships through clear and professional communication.
Financial & Administrative
- Assist with tenant billings, vacancy reports, and financial reporting.
- Assist with notices, renewals, legal forms, and reports.
- Ensure accuracy of accounts receivable/payable with accounting team.
- Handle phones, filing, document management, and correspondence.
- Submit monthly mileage and commission reports to accounting for processing.
- Collaborate with team members in a professional, punctual manner.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with property management or leasing (residential & commercial).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
- Clean driving record with reliable transportation; valid Driver’s License.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AppFolio, Yardi or Avid a plus.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Full-time position M-F, 8-5 in office with frequent computer and phone use.
- Regular walking through properties; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
