Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mobile Automotive Mechanic to join our growing team. In this role, you will travel to customer locations to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of passenger vehicles, light-duty trucks, and fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in automotive diagnostics and repair, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a critical role in keeping our customers safely on the road by providing professional, on-site mechanical services.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics using advanced scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify engine, electrical, and drivability issues.
- Diagnose and repair charging systems, including alternators, batteries, starters, and wiring components.
- Replace and service serpentine belts, tensioners, pulleys, and related accessory drive components.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair brake systems, including brake pads, rotors, calipers, drums, wheel cylinders, and brake hardware.
- Perform suspension and steering repairs, including ball joints, control arms, tie rods, sway bar links, and bushings.
- Replace wheel hubs, wheel bearings, and related components to ensure safe vehicle operation.
- Conduct engine diagnostics and repairs involving ignition systems, fuel systems, sensors, emissions components, and cooling systems.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid services, tune-ups, and filter replacements.
- Use repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to complete repairs accurately.
- Test-drive vehicles when necessary to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked mobile service vehicle.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair recommendations, and maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working at customer locations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, Mobile Mechanic, or Automotive Technician.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, charging systems, and engine management systems.
- Experience replacing alternators, serpentine belts, brake components, ball joints, wheel hubs, and suspension parts.
- Proficiency in engine diagnostics using scan tools and diagnostic software.
- Ability to diagnose check engine lights, misfires, starting issues, charging system failures, and drivability concerns.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and repair procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE Certification(s) preferred.
- Mobile mechanic or dealership experience preferred.
- Experience working on domestic, European, and Asian vehicles.
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance and light-duty truck repair.

Pay: $30.95 - $60.95 per hour
